

Wythe County and its two incorporated towns, Wytheville and Rural Retreat, are located in Southwest Virginia at the crossroads of Interstates 81 and 77. The county lies within a day's drive of half the U.S. population and major industrial centers. Wythe County was named for George Wythe, the first Virginia signer of the Declaration of Independence.
