Regional Planner II – Housing
The Mount Rogers Planning District Commission is looking for a dynamic planner with a background in housing and indoor plumbing rehabilitation programs to develop and administer housing-related projects and programs in the Mount Rogers Planning District.
Job Summary: The Regional Planner II – Housing position provides planning and project management services to localities within the Mount Rogers Planning District, including project development, grant writing, budgeting and financial reporting, and management of specific housing and community development programs funded through various state and federal agencies.
Job Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Planning, City Management, or Public Administration, Master’s Degree strongly desired. Prior experience is required with housing rehabilitation programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, and Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. Incumbents must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft office software.
Salary & Benefits: Annual salary range for Regional Planner II is $35,000 to $45,000 depending on qualifications. The MRPDC offers a competitive fringe benefit package.
